this attractive crowned heart ring in a very traditional mid-18th century style was probably made about two hundred years later, with the intent to deceive. The heart is set with three high-quality rose-cut diamonds with smaller diamonds on the shoulders, with an elaborately carved and pierced shank. It is faithful in style to the original, but just too crisp and too well made to be that old! A very pretty ring, nevertheless. a large finger size: UK ‘R’ – USA 8 3/4 but can be sized.
